Cheers! Yes I haven’t been on Lemmy as much lately, but I still check in every now and then.
I’m with the truffles guy saying truffles with the caveat that perhaps I haven’t had real truffles properly.
Otherwise, I find KFC too overrated. All fast food chains in general, but KFC in particular gets a hype at least in my circles. From what I hear, you are buying bliss and a heavenly experience in a bucket. Come on. It’s just chicken bits with nothing special about them, in fact the cheap deep frying oils can upset my stomach easily.
I second your impression of truffles. I’m yet to appreciate them. So far in my books is a thing that tastes like dirt and shoots up ridiculously the price of whatever it’s added into
Ok so being a chemistry ignorant as I am, I went to Wikipedia to read about this acid, thinking it was probably a very common household item sold under a different name or perhaps a very common drug with a different street name, you get it. But it’s not. It’s just some acid used in a variety of industry processes.
Why on earth would anyone, even on drugs, think an enema with acid is something they need to experience? I’ve never done cocaine and I’m also not into painful anal stuff so if you are into either and care to explain I’d really appreciate it.

Hello, I work in retail in Australia. The shopping malls I’m at all have “quiet time” for “people with sensory issues” every Tuesday morning from 9 to 11:30 am. It is as you described, and I agree with you.
Now I’m not sure where I stand on the spectrum but I’ve heard colleagues say they also prefer the quiet time, so, there you go. I just don’t understand the point of bombarding people with music all the time especially for Christmas.

I’ve always been a fan of the prehistoric plants ( though if I’m being pedantic the vast majority of plants are prehistoric). Araucaria and Dicksonia are the best of the best!

I don’t believe an artificial object can become sentient. But even if it does, no, I’m not afraid. I’m afraid of the damage AI already causes as it is.

Ah so your last hundred job applications went nowhere? Here, have this short time gig
Your last million tinder swipes got you nothing? Here, have this guy for the summer

I wish life was this considerate
I don’t have an answer for you, but I like the photo
They are feather spots to me
This is kind of like the beginning of Ratatouille but this version has a different audience rating
Ugh yes these artists, so mean, so evil, greedy and disgusting, they don’t deserve being paid not even a tenth of the minimum wage. 60 bucks isn’t enough to cover that 12 hr job you say? Where do you live???

1, 2, 4, 5: None
3: Yellow, if by the primaries you refer to Yellow Red Blue.
Also in your image I don’t see cyan pictured. You have yellow, magenta, and blue. My answers are for true Y, M,C hues.
I’m from Buenos Aires and didn’t know about the existence of this meme

It’s difficult to make a choice but I think sphinx moths are my favorite moths

Hi there. My feet are the same size, although I would say the whole left side of my body is slightly, just slightly, larger than the right. I don’t feel any difference between my feet with regards to shoe size.
Having said that, I do get callused soles on my left, and I wear out the shoe soles slightly more as well.
I used to wear cheap shoes when I was younger, but my experience is that they always rub me off on some spot or another in a painful way, or just feel painful when walking or standing for long periods of time. I haven’t had those kinds of problems since switching to expensive shoes. I also noticed the expensive ones are not that much more of an investment since they last longer.
So yeah I’m not saying that’s the solution to everything but good quality shoes definitely helps.

Answer: I just think it’s not worth it. The motivation to make comics should arise from your need to express yourself visually, not to compensate for poor translation. Learning to draw maybe comes easy to you, but then you’ll have to actually do it and keep it consistent and meet your own standards, which is the extra hard part you are not taking into consideration.
Climbing the mountain can be a challenge, but it pales in comparison with setting up camp and living at high altitude indefinitely. If you don’t have a call for that kind of lifestyle I would suggest you reconsider.
Give it a go, though. Nothing wrong with a bit of tourism and sightseeing. You may even get to enjoy it, and you will understand for yourself if it’s meant to be for you or not.
