Google, the owners of YouTube, has removed a channel on the platform belonging to a pro-Iran group producing Lego-themed videos mocking Donald Trump.

“Upon review, we’ve terminated the channel for violating our Spam, deceptive practices and scams policies,” a YouTube spokesperson told Middle East Eye.

“YouTube doesn’t allow spam, scams, or other deceptive practices that take advantage of the YouTube community.”

Explosive Media’s content largely consists of animations ridiculing the US war effort against Iran and poking fun at the US president.

“YouTube doesn’t allow spam, scams, or other deceptive practices that take advantage of the YouTube community.”

    1. Bullsh*t it doesn’t and
    2. Which one of those categories does an obvious satire / parody channel fall under?

They learned their lesson from this and Huawei, so now private companies are self censoring on behalf of the govt. That’s why Colbert is losing his job and cutting edge Chinese phones don’t work on American carriers despite being fully compatible.

Every American company is loyal to the empire. If not by gleeful obedience then at least by threat of court orders and political pressure. I guess in Google’s case it’s that kind of gleeful obedience.

Its propaganda sure, but they didn’t even need to lie in the lyrics. Is it still propaganda if true? Looks more like satire to me.

That means the videos were effective; I don’t agree with Youtube’s decision but it’s their business I guess.

Now I want to watch the videos

Explosive Media, known in Persian as Akhbar Enfejari, has denied it is backed by the Iranian government and its videos have reached millions of viewers across a range of social media platforms.

Speaking to the BBC, the head of Explosive Media, who referred to himself as “Mr Explosive”, said his team consisted of fewer than 10 people and that the Iranian government was a “customer” of his company.

NGL, confusing article. Not even sure why it would matter?

TIL .ml loves mass-spam of genAI slopaganda if it’s in support of a cause they’re aligned with. Good to know.

Not even a little surprised that tankies – the fucking cognoscenti of rhetoric that pretends to care about a bad thing, masking that the real goal is for “their side” to have a monopoly on the bad thing – lack consistent ethics when it comes to destroying the planet and flooding out human-made media for shitty, braindead, dubiously effective propaganda.

          lack consistent ethics

Consistent ethics is when I declare all sides bad and ignore geopolitical context

          destroying the planet

The tankies is China are creating the first electrostate in human history and installing more renewables energy capacity than all of the lib states

          flooding out human-made media

It’s the tankies that are doing this (not big tech). I am smart

Sounds a lot like: “We broadly support North Korea, but that’s too embarrassing to say directly, so we’ll just shitpost about it like a neo-Nazi would when asked a direct question about their abhorrent beliefs – afraid of frightening away the normies by revealing their ‘power level’.”

It’s comforting to me that you have to carry the level of shame that your beliefs are unspeakable in spaces dominated by sane people – and are barely even speakable in this deranged hellhole for fear that your monstrous beliefs will surface above the irony poisoning and scare away the few people with functioning consciences who stumbled into this from the front page.

There’s no embarrassment, I think I can speak for all Marxists Leninists when I say

ladies and gentlemen, I say it without flinching: communism in eastern Europe, Russia, China, Mongolia, North Korea, and Cuba brought land reform and human services; a dramatic bettering of the living conditions of hundreds of millions of people on a scale never before or never since witnessed in human history, and that’s something to appreciate. Communism transformed desperately poor countries into societies in which everyone had adequate food, shelter, medical care, and education, and some of us who come from poor families who carry around the hidden injuries of class are very impressed; are very, very impressed by these achievements and are not willing to dismiss them as economistic.

We support the DPRK for all it’s done for its people who the EuroAmerikans waged a war of extermination on. And not only their people but the oppressed people of the world, from the Americas to Africa supporting anti imperialist struggle the world over.

Yes, marxist-leninists are pro-AI. Our goal is victory for the working class, and we will use any tool at our disposal to win.

But oh no, the moralizing radlib (dubious “morals” that somehow always ignore their own genocides) has appeared. Status quo defence at any cost is the goal of the radlibs, this includes preserving hollywood’s propaganda monopoly.

And the more our enemies tell us not to use it, the more we’re proven right. It scares them that the people have access to this power. They hate it when the people have power, and smear it by calling it “populism”.

          Radlibs hate democracy.

But you can’t win. You could destroy all the AI in the west, we won’t care. Because the real good AI comes from china. And you can never defeat china.

not even a little surprised that libs chuck their free speech absolutism the moment that speech is against the lib status quo. to defend a pedophile regime this time, no less.

i mean come on, that slop ship you describe has sailed and being a luddite about it will just put you at a disadvantage.
