Imagine you woke up tomorrow and found out you’d been in a Truman Show dome your entire life. How would you feel about the fact that they made the Jim Carrey movie and put it where you could see it?

Too boring. Would have been cancelled when I was a boring little kid. Who’s going to watch someone play with Legos for 16 fucking hours straight?

If I’d be honest, probably the first thing that I would feel is embarrassment, thinking that the thousand time plus that I beat the meat would look like the movie Shame from 2011

I’d apologize to the viewers that the show has been so dull. I’d probably blame the writers, they obviously hired utter hacks.

Where’s my love interest? Why is everything setup to be so shitty in terms of geopolitics and the economy and such? And finally, the viewers better be laughing at my jokes at least.

I’d feel really bad for the actors they made me watch die. I’d also wonder how they got the cameras to follow me across the world (twice) without me noticing.

We are living it. Right now. Each and every one of us with a phone in our pocket. Except we don’t have paid actors doing the work. Everyone is volunteering to post everything that goes on in our world around us and broadcast it.

If I found out today I was in a show, I’d do everything in my power to end the lives of everyone tangentially involved. It would mean my life was already meaningless, so there’s no risk in throwing it away.
