How should we feel about these arrests? I don’t trust the KDP
I’m unfortunately not very educated on the internal politics of Iraq.
My 99% uneducated guess: this is good. We all know that Iraq’s governement is full of american puppets and corruption. If they are arresting people this could be a coup and if these buisness men playing at being politicians Sunni party leaders and kurdish MPs are the ones getting got I would assume that leaves the Shia politicians who are more aligned with the Iran to take up their places.
It’s been rumored that these individuals were plotting a coup, and some Shias were also gotten in the raid. Beyond that, I’m not too sure about the motivation behind it.
The Kurdish politician being captured makes me assume these are imperialist puppets, but I’m not educated enough on Iraqi politics to comment eitheir way.
