My 10 years old self would not believe the current state of dating and distrust among people in general. Erich Fromm described it in 1952, but in Europe it arrived much later.

Also the lack of attention caused by smartphone and the almost disappearance of casual conversations on the bus, the train, etc. Sometimes people is afraid of casual conversations with strangers.

A laptop that I use every now and then today was already manufactured when I was 10 years old.

Me in 1998 watching ZDTV and playing quake and loving everything about computers and the internet.

Me in 2026 me straggling to even like computers and loathing the internet.

That I am actually able to sit in front of a desk for 8 hours straight

That I didn’t grow up to be a train driver
