Anyone hear anything about the explosion at a texas oil refinery a few (7?) days ago? Still no official cause for the explosion so I am telling myself that some based texans did something cool.
I would not at all be surprised if it was from using outdated, decaying equipment to try and define the oil they have stolen from Venezuela and other places recently. Or in general just from breaking down equipment. This is America we are talking about.
Never worked in the oil industry but I’ve worked in manufacturing for most of my adult life so far and I can confirm the equipment in use is kept in piss-poor condition, barely maintained, and often several decades out of date. This has been true everywhere I’ve worked and even the places I’ve toured but didn’t get hired for. It is fairly consistent across all U.S. industry that our facilities are left in decrepit states with machinery that barely functions so I wouldn’t be surprised at all if it really was just an accident and something just broke down due to poor maintenance.
I remain on 𝙴𝚡𝚙𝚕𝚘𝚜𝚒𝚘𝚗 𝚆𝚊𝚝𝚌𝚑 so please mention anything of the sort here, but I have nothing conclusive to say about it. Collapsing industrial capacity self-own is a funnier explanation so I lean towards it.
