Zizek is a pig, everything is transient and ideological and so on and so on and so on snort fuck him
Varoufakis is a competently intelligent man, with good intentions, and with some decent concepts/ideas. but he conviniently leaves revolutionary ideas on the wayside (economist gonna economize) or does not go into depth.
Chomsky is a parody of parenti
I think every Marxist should understand Marx’s attack on Proudhon, may be starting with the Poverty on Philosophy. I see many self-claimed marxists use Proudhon’s idea of “socialism” without realising it and thinking it is marxism instead.

this is exacerbated by (mostly new) marxists not using theory for it’s proper purpose; as a toolkit to formulate your own analysis and instead as a kind of “holy text” with quotes from long dead revolutionaries used to support tenuously related points
if you rely on others to do your thinking for you, it will not be surprising if you get taken in by frauds
The Congress for Cultural Freedom and groups like the Frankfurt School and much of the New Left was dedicated to taking socialism from its roots and reducing it to a mild, non-revolutionary version.
That said the mainstreaming of socialism can be a double edge sword for them because it means that it allows some ideas of socialism to be introduced and adapted into the mainstream allowing for people to be more easily radicalized into a better more revolutionary form of socialism.
Revisionists gonna revise.
It’s extremely frustrating for me, in the empire.
But nothing new, the distorters of marxism and court jesters of capitalism may have changed but their job existed for as marxism and capitalism existed.
I daresay always will. This information isn’t for either the reached or unreachable. It is for those who may be experiencing a glimmer of reality and need a nudge, I think.
