    Mate, can we stop trying to make slop content out of socialist figures? First the alignment chart, now a Tierlist.

    This is the sort of thing that bored people on the internet do to decide which processed fast food they like better, not represent which historical Marxist was more “based”.

    I think we can do better than this, come on.

    I really don’t think tier lists are an effective form of agitprop, Marxism is not a hero shooter or MOBA. That’s ignoring my disagreements with placements as well.

      I don’t particularly care about any of this but…not everything has to be agitprop? If I wanna crack a joke or talk about something with a few friends I don’t need to do it in pamphlets or while doing mutal aid or whatever. I can make a funny meme that doesn’t actually mean anything

        I agree, not everything has to be agitprop, but as I said, I also have disagreements with the placements. IDK, just wasn’t feeling this one, I wasn’t even one of the downvotes, I just didn’t upvote it either.

    Nah, this is kind of cringe tbh. Marxism isn’t a competition; it’s a science.

    We analyze phenomenon, construct theory around it, put that theory into practice in a test environment, then develop that theory based on what we’ve learned from our experiences. It’s not about beating each other but about building a social order that is less exploitative and more sustainable and how we go about doing that, which involves taking each other’s ideas and building off them, critiquing them, putting them to the test, and improving upon them wherever we can.

    Mao deserves S teir. No Deng? Tito below Parenti? Angela fucking Davis? doesn’t even belong on the list she endorsed Kamala.

    You can’t call pol pot a marxist. His ideology clearly had nothing to do with Marxism.

      Yeah I thought this list was garbage too. But marxists famously disagree on implementation and our personal heroes in the movement so that part checks out.
