This is nothing new, since the 90s, both the far right “monarchists” and every stripe of socialist in Russia has been united against the liberal destruction of the Russian system that was taking place back then. Just take one look at the mass protests in Russia in the early 90s, you’ll see all sorts of odd flags, hammer and sickles side by side with the black white and yellow. It just goes to show how fucking terrible things were in Russia that these groups were all on the same team to oppose the west/Yeltsin.

It’s because this sort of protesting is primarily for virtue signaling, they want to show other people who already agree with them how much they “get it” and how smart they are etc. They aren’t making sure they’re directing their energy at sending a message to those who are actually in power, which is why they don’t take it as seriously.

Don’t let the scots and welsh off so easy either, I see them trying to pretend like they’re victims way too often.
