I’m just interested in your ideas.
Under capitalism, kayaking the time to get to know your neighbors is revolutionary behavior. When things go sideways, the people in direct geographic proximity to you are going to be the ones in best position to support you (and one another). It’s best to start laying that groundwork asap.
Being involved in wider activism is also a grounding and fulfilling. You don’t need to join a revolutionary socialist party like PSL (but you can if you want to go hard), even joining a park cleanup day or something like that is a good place to be.
kayaking the time to get to know your neighbors
Now I’m picturing sitting in my neighbour’s driveway in a kayak chatting them up. Then, slooooowly, and loudly, paddling over to the next neighbour’s house until I know everyone or my kayak is destroyed.
This could work if you live in Venice or something, but i meant *taking* damnit
Depends on the kind of dystopia.
For the current type? Guillotines.
Yeah, the choice is, of course, very limited.
That makes me wish Weird Al would do something like Spatula City, but with guillotines.
Again, as always, educate, agitate, organize.
-
Educate, yourself and others. Read theory. I made an introductory Marxist-Leninist reading guide specifically to help those radicalized but who haven’t yet delved into theory.
-
Agitate. Unionize, protest, etc.
-
Organize. Join a party like PSL or FRSO and be part of a project building a better world.
All 3 are the biggest things you can do, and the extent to which you can do each depends on the extent at which the others are done.
It sounds cool, of course, but I’m afraid in reality it will all end with having to survive in small communities in nature to avoid concentration camps. And protesters, journalists and others will simply be crushed with the help of AI.
With modern surveilance, they’d find you in those small communities, and if enough people went out there wouldn’t be anyone doing any of the labor to keep society going. A united working class is the best weapon and defense.

If someone told me the location with concentration camps was a utopia I’d be very concerned about how in touch they are.
Well, let’s say for the rich it will be a utopia, but for everyone else…
As I said, out of touch with reality

To make the world a better one you must recognize the flaws. Stop trying to force a false dichotomy
