The shipment contained a cockpit canopy and weapons-bay door from an Australian F-35, which were being sent to the U.S. in late May for inspection and possible repair or disposal.
The Pentagon says it is working to recover the components.

Dr. Mahdi Sanduq was shot today, Wednesday, September 23, 2026, by a Syrian refugee who had returned from Germany, in the Jaddah al-Khamseh area of the Muhajireen district in the capital, Damascus.
According to local sources, the doctor was rushed immediately to a hospital, and died this evening from his wounds.
Preliminary information points to a sectarian motive behind the incident, as Dr. Mahdi Sanduq belonged to the Shitte community and was originally from the Amin neighborhood in Damascus.

❗️Ansarallah warns US assets will become targets if Washington joins Saudi-Yemen war
Ansarallah has warned that US interests in the region will become targets if Washington intervenes militarily in Yemen in support of Saudi Arabia, according to a military official from the resistance movement.
“If America dares to intervene militarily with its fleets or tries to take control of Bab al-Mandab, it is a red line for them and anyone else… We will fight over it,” Abed Mohammed al-Thawr told AFP in Sanaa.
He added that if Washington supports Saudi Arabia with airstrikes or other military assistance, “we will consider any American interests around us to be targets.”
The warning comes after reports that the US had prepared to strike Ansarallah but called off the operation at the last minute. The New York Times reported that Washington was allegedly preparing attacks on Sunday before deciding not to proceed.

❗️French-Lebanese businessman files war crimes complaint over Israeli uprooting of 600 olive trees in Lebanon

A French businessman born in Lebanon has filed a complaint in Paris against persons unknown, targeting the Israeli military over the uprooting of 600 olive trees belonging to his family in Zawtar al-Sharqiya in southern Lebanon, his lawyers told AFP today.
The 37-year-old man said some of the trees were around 500 years old and had grown on land cultivated by his family for 250 years.
According to the civil complaint, seen by AFP, the trees were uprooted “roots and all,” with the filing alleging theft, destruction and damage to property constituting war crimes.
The complaint states that there is “no evidence to suggest that Hezbollah was using the house or the agricultural fields as military equipment.” He also suspects the uprooted trees were stolen and taken to Israel.
⭕️ Three commodity vessels crossed the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday, down from four the previous day and below the 10-day average of around 15, preliminary shipping data showed on Wednesday.

The figures could change as some vessels typically switch off their transponders while transiting the waterway.
Kpler data showed that all three vessels, including one Panamax tanker, were exiting the strait as of 02:00 GMT.
Meanwhile, the ballast LNG tanker Al-Mafyar reappeared inside the strait on Tuesday after last being recorded outside the waterway on 19 September, according to Kpler and LSEG data.
Separately, 22 commodity vessels passed through the Bab al-Mandab Strait on Tuesday, another key maritime chokepoint off southwestern Yemen and a major route for oil shipments between the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
The data showed 14 vessels heading toward the Red Sea and eight toward the Gulf of Aden. They included five Panamax tankers, six Supramax vessels, four Aframax tankers, one Suezmax tanker and one very large crude carrier.
Tuesday’s traffic was below the strait’s 10-day average of around 26 vessels.
