According to The Nation Thailand, Thai Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has signed separate deportation orders against an Israeli national and a French zoo co-owner following a violent altercation triggered by the display of a Palestinian flag.

The expulsions target French national Kevin Dimino, co-owner of the Samui Exotic Park on Koh Samui, and Israeli national Yaacov Ohayon.

The conflict erupted after the zoo posted a Palestinian flag and subsequently restricted entry to Israeli visitors following repeated confrontations.

The situation escalated into physical violence, with footage capturing Dimino headbutting an Israeli man during a clash.

Thai authorities moved swiftly against both individuals following criminal convictions. Dimino was convicted under traffic and public order laws for threatening behavior and aggressive conduct that fueled religious and racial tensions, resulting in fines and an expulsion order.

Ohayon was separately convicted of criminal intimidation for sending death threats to an individual, receiving a suspended prison sentence before being ordered out of the country. Both men retain a seven-day window to appeal their deportations.
