    🇮🇷| NEW: Iran’s Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has appointed former IRGC commander Mohsen Rezaei as his representative to the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC).

    He also thanked Mohammad-Bagher Zolghadr for his service.

    This has been speculated to happen for a while but there’s finally an official statement.

    Zolqadr stays secretary (selected always by the president) but looses voting powers as a leader’s representative.

    The leader has 2 representatives in the SNSC, which currently are:

    • Saeed Jalili

    • Mohsen Rezaei

    🇮🇷| Following Iran’s leader appointing of Mohsen Rezaei as his representative in the SNSC, Iran’s president has now accepted the resignation of Zolqadr and replaced him with Mohsen Rezaei as the new secretary, according to his office.

    Pezeshkian had denied his resignation earlier this week.
