🇮🇷 Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters: We will not allow America to interfere in the affairs of the Strait of Hormuz or its management
Statement from Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters:
Expand
The unprecedented turnout at the funeral and farewell procession for the martyred leader of the Islamic Ummah dealt a humiliating defeat to global arrogance and the criminal United States.
The US terrorist military, honoring none of its commitments, and at a time when the sacred body of the martyred leader of the world’s Muslims and free peoples was still a guest of the officials and valiant people of Iraq, struck several points in our beloved southern Iran in a blatant act of aggression.
The armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will deliver a crushing response to this American act of aggression and terrorism, and will under no circumstances allow interference in the affairs of the Strait of Hormuz or its management.
It is once again declared that the only safe passage for commercial vessels and oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz is the route designated by the Islamic Republic of Iran.

🇮🇷🇧🇭 The US bases in Bahrain are currently under Iranian missile strikes.
Ballistic missiles were reported launched minutes ago from many locations in Iran. Also cruise missiles are reported to have been fired at the US naval assets in the Gulf of Oman.

❗️An official statement from Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announces that several electrical transmission lines have suddenly gone offline, causing widespread power outages across multiple scattered regions of the country. No cause has been confirmed.
Crucially, this widespread grid failure and official emergency declaration comes directly after US military attacks on Sirik and Bandar Abbas in Iran.

CONFIRMED 🇺🇸🇵🇰 K2 Airways Boeing 737 reported missing earlier, has been shot down by the US forces north of the Arabian Sea. The Pakistani company has confirmed all five crew are lost.
@SimurghRes

This is what happens when this violent US filth is stationed anywhere around your country. I can’t imagine why they would shoot this down but I’m not assuming anything - bastards, 5 fellow Pakistanis wiped out in a second with no defence, and I expect our bootlicking army rulers to do precisely nothing. One of my cousins is a commercial pilot operating in the region so this hits close to home. Not the first time the US has spilled innocent people’s blood here obviously.
My condolences to your countrymen, Inshahallah, Iran goes through with the revenge its people demand and erases the imperialists from West Asia permanently.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 The US Treasury has revoked General License X, the authorization it issued just 15 days ago allowing Iranian oil sales to resume under the US-Iran memorandum of understanding.
The move comes after UKMTO reported three tankers, Saudi, Qatari, and a third vessel, struck by unknown projectiles near the Strait of Hormuz. No group has claimed responsibility. Tehran has not commented.
A US official called the incidents “wholly unacceptable” and promised consequences, while simultaneously insisting negotiators remain committed to a final deal. OFAC’s replacement license, General License X1, gives companies until July 17 to wind down existing transactions but bars any new Iranian oil purchases from today.
Worth noting: sanctions relief lasted barely two weeks before Washington pulled it, on the basis of attacks nobody has attributed to anyone. Brent crude jumped over 2% on the news. The MOU explicitly ties Iran’s economic relief to “good behavior,” giving Washington a standing pretext to snap sanctions back on at will, deal or no deal.

🇮🇷 ⚡️🇺🇸🇮🇱 Statement by Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the explicit violation of clause 10 of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding by the United States
-
Less than 20 days after the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, the announcement of the revocation of the general authorization issued on June 21 is another indication of the bad faith, instability, and unreliability of the U.S. ruling establishment.
-
This comes despite the fact that over the past 20 days, the United States—either directly or through the actions of the Zionist regime against Lebanon—has repeatedly committed both minor and major violations of various provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding.
-
The U.S. government, in keeping with its longstanding practice, has sought to justify its own breaches of its commitments by citing various pretexts while simultaneously violating those commitments.
-
The Islamic Republic of Iran will take whatever measures it deems necessary to safeguard its national interests and national security.

❗️Growing divide as 30 percent of US Jews label Israeli war on Gaza genocide
Expand
A newly released survey by the AP-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research reveals a seismic shift in US public opinion regarding the war in Gaza. Nearly one-third of all US adults, including an unprecedented 30 percent of US Jews and roughly half of all Democrats, now state that Israel has committed genocide against Palestinians. This collapsing narrative marks a critical fracture in the decades-long consensus that has historically shielded Israel from domestic political backlash.
The data exposes an accelerating rift within the Democratic Party, where the disconnect between the Washington establishment and its voting base has reached a breaking point. According to the AP-NORC findings, 58 percent of Democrats now believe the US is too supportive of Israel, a sentiment shared by a 51 percent majority of Jewish Democrats. Concurrently, 62 percent of party voters insist that Washington is failing to provide adequate support to the Palestinian population.
This ideological realignment is particularly striking among older demographics who were once considered the bedrock of pro-Israel sentiment. The poll notes that 57 percent of Democrats over the age of 45 now demand that the US government do more to support Palestinians, a massive spike from just 39 percent recorded two years earlier. As grassroots alienation deepens, the unconditional backing provided by the White House faces a looming legitimacy crisis at home.

Maybe I’m too pessimistic, but I don’t have confidence that a large amount of these people who are anti-zionist rather than just embarrassed liberal zionists. I’ve met and worked with committed anti-zionist jews, but I’m not particularly convinced that they are that large a faction.

❗️TotalEnergies CEO discusses potential Syria exploration deal in Damascus
Expand
French energy giant TotalEnergies CEO Patrick Pouyanne said he will meet Syrian officials on Tuesday to discuss the potential signing of an exploration agreement, speaking to reporters in Damascus.
Pouyanne is visiting Syria as part of a delegation accompanying French President Emmanuel Macron, whose trip was overshadowed by bomb attacks in Damascus on Tuesday.
In May, TotalEnergies signed a memorandum of understanding with the Syrian Petroleum Company to explore an offshore gas and oil block in the Mediterranean. The company has also recently highlighted the potential importance of building pipelines through Syria to transport Iraqi crude as an alternative route to the Strait of Hormuz.
“Syria’s offshore area has never really been explored historically, so we have partnered other companies to look into it. We will discuss it today with our Syrian counterparts to see whether we can move toward a contract,” Pouyanne said.
“Obviously we’d rather find oil than gas, but in the eastern Mediterranean most discoveries so far — in Cyprus and Israel, for example — have been gas,” he added.
Pouyanne also reiterated that Syria has become increasingly significant as a potential transit route for Iraqi oil exports.

❗️Germany warns weakening Palestinian Authority could threaten Israel’s security
Expand
German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said on Tuesday that undermining the Palestinian Authority (PA) would not strengthen Israel’s security and could instead leave a gap that could be exploited by more “radical forces.”
“The PA is not perfect and is in urgent need of reform. However, weakening the PA does not serve Israel’s security; instead, it could create a vacuum that other, more radical forces might fill,” Wadephul said during a visit to Jerusalem.
Wadephul also said the PA needs access to the tax and customs revenues it is entitled to in order to continue providing basic services, adding that he had once again called for the transfer of funds owed to the PA.

🇮🇷| ❗️Iran broke the record of the largest funeral in modern history
During the 3 days of ceremonies and processions honoring the martyred leader Ayatollah Khamenei, 23.715 million passengers used the metro, buses, and taxis.
This level of service is unprecedented in the history of Tehran’s public transportation system.
Many didn’t even use public transportation, including me and my circle.
This figure is not taking into account the millions that attended the Qom funeral ceremony today, footage shows Qom this morning.
