    The unprecedented turnout at the funeral and farewell procession for the martyred leader of the Islamic Ummah dealt a humiliating defeat to global arrogance and the criminal United States.

    The US terrorist military, honoring none of its commitments, and at a time when the sacred body of the martyred leader of the world’s Muslims and free peoples was still a guest of the officials and valiant people of Iraq, struck several points in our beloved southern Iran in a blatant act of aggression.

    The armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will deliver a crushing response to this American act of aggression and terrorism, and will under no circumstances allow interference in the affairs of the Strait of Hormuz or its management.

    It is once again declared that the only safe passage for commercial vessels and oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz is the route designated by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
