This all came to a screeching halt during Covid when all of a sudden, he had to not prioritize profits and success but rather the health and safety of his employees and others.

honestly what I hate the most about those quotes is that every one of those slogans actually have a quite clear meaning , especially within the context of the book .
I find myself saying “We are the dead” quite a lot when something reality bending occurs (you know, like Elon opening his pie hole), because that’s how it feels.
When you remember he got his starting wealth from an apartheid emerald mine in South Africa, this behavior makes perfect sense.
It’s not racism when you, a single person, are hated. Its people telling the truth about you.
