Yeah so somebody grew up in a racist household that prioritized Protestant ideals about work and success. And then that person moved to Silicon Valley with Daddy’s money and worked there during its bommiest years. Then went on to pump money into electric cars and rockets.

This all came to a screeching halt during Covid when all of a sudden, he had to not prioritize profits and success but rather the health and safety of his employees and others.

This sent him down a rabbit hole on Twitter where suddenly he felt accepted by all the Trump crowd. Now he’s stuck there and slides further right each day.

This guy is now the wealthiest person on the planet.

    Fuck Elon.

Just another example that billionaires didn’t become billionaires by being smarter than everyone else.

Unironically dividing the Proletariat against itself by stirring up racism among conservatives on a large social platform is the correct move for him to keep his dragon hoard, though I doubt it’s intentional.

I’d give him more credit, it doesn’t take a genius to encourage people to subscribe to a philosophy and or vote for a person that will benefit you.

        He knows what he’s doing

Even crazy new Dragons get the “Respect the #1 rule of Dragon Club; do nothing to threaten the viability of the existence of Dragons” speech, I reckon.

For real. Diversity could easily be considered antithetical to racism. Inclusion could be considered antithetical to sexism. But no, Chef Elon made pseudo-intellectual word salad.

But, “Worlds grossly richest man not big on equity” feels like an Onion article title.

Also, “woke” more or less means “enlightened,” so “anti-woke” is pretty much “ignorance is strength.”

I feel like wokeness in general requires empathy and understanding of the plight of others. Anti-woke means being unempathetic, and folks feel that is positive? I literally can’t comprehend being for Team Sociopath, but millions of people will vote for Trump, so it’s real.

honestly what I hate the most about those quotes is that every one of those slogans actually have a quite clear meaning , especially within the context of the book .

I find myself saying “We are the dead” quite a lot when something reality bending occurs (you know, like Elon opening his pie hole), because that’s how it feels.

When you remember he got his starting wealth from an apartheid emerald mine in South Africa, this behavior makes perfect sense.

I’m generally sick of hearing about Elon at all even if it’s criticizing him, but this was a good one.

They would not even understand, they practice narciss-ism even more often than rac-ism.

Also, talking about inclusivity, this is a (probably not fully exhaustive) list of all the "-ism"s. That is how much of an ignorant cretin people using this neologism are.

Sadly, a professor I used to respect is following similar bullshit ideologies. Climate denialism, veiled racism, and bigotry. Once he moved out of California into a much more red area, he plummeted.
