At a military base that now doubles as a detention center in Israel’s Negev desert, an Israeli working at the facility snapped two photographs of a scene that he says continues to haunt him.
The sources include western sources, but they are not limited to.
They are only limited to western sources.
I have seen similar arguments when people would try to downplay Israel’s atrocities towards Palestinians.
There’s mountains of evidence for US/Israel’s genocide. There is zero credible evidence for this fake one. They’ve even taken down the wikipedia page because it looks ridiculous an allegation in comparison.
Right right, “Re-education” camps.
That’s just a western slur. China never used that phrasing.
Zenz is not the first one to introduce the idea that the Uyghurs are being oppressed, nor does his character have an impact on what is and isn’t real.
Zenz was paid by the BBC to come up with these allegations. He refused. They offered him more money and then he agreed. He’s open about this.
With that said, what I see against Adrian Zenz is very reminiscent of the smear campaigns against academics/activists/spoke-persons that are at odds, oppose, or threaten the entity in power. The purpose of which is to discredit the person in question so that people look past what they say and the evidence they present.
This is a man who openly states that he’s been sent on a mission from god to rid the world of homosexuality and communism. Characterising criticism of his objectivity as a “smear campaign” is ludicrous.
Please do. Send me yours, and I will send you mine.
April 19, 2021: “Break Their Lineage, Break Their Roots”- China’s Crimes against Humanity Targeting Uyghurs and Other Turkic Muslims
“This report was prepared with the assistance of the Stanford Human Rights & Conflict Resolution Clinic”
The next three links are from Qatar media, well known for its bias against China. No evidence is presented. The second article refers to a dump of AI generated images provided by Zenz as its only source. The third one says the UN says something could be “potentially” happening.
We express our firm opposition to relevant countries’ practice of politicizing human rights issues, by naming and shaming, and publicly exerting pressures on other countries. We commend China’s remarkable achievements in the field of human rights by adhering to the people-centered development philosophy and protecting and promoting human rights through development. We also appreciate China’s contributions to the international human rights cause.
When allegations are made, the World Bank takes them seriously and reviews them thoroughly. In line with standard practice, immediately after receiving a series of serious allegations in August 2019 in connection with the Xinjiang Technical and Vocational Education and Training Project, the Bank launched a fact-finding review, and World Bank senior managers traveled to Xinjiang to gather information directly…The team conducted a thorough review of project documents, engaged in discussions with project staff, and visited schools directly financed by the project, as well as their partner schools that were the subject of allegations. The review did not substantiate the allegations.
Welcomes the outcomes of the visit conducted by the General Secretariat’s delegation upon invitation from the People’s Republic of China; commends the efforts of the People’s Republic of China in providing care to its Muslim citizens; and looks forward to further cooperation between the OIC and the People’s Republic of China.
The recently published report also brings forth some interesting facts related to the religious freedom as opposed to the western propaganda. The report provides a strong testimonial by the visiting delegates who clearly state, “the in houses of worship such as the Id Kah Mosque in Kashgar, modern facilities abound, providing water, electricity and air conditioning. Local clerics told the visitors that their religious activities had been very well protected”. “The conditions here are very good,” said Abdelhalim Elwerdany, of Egypt’s Al-Gomhuria newspaper. “I could feel that local Muslims fully enjoy religious freedom.”
Up to 5,000 ethnic Uighurs from China’s violence-prone far western region of Xinjiang are fighting in various militant groups in Syria, the Syrian ambassador to China said on Monday, adding that Beijing should be extremely concerned about it.
“It’s necessary to timely remove radical phrases that discriminate against Islam and are biased against Muslims to prevent worsening online hatred towards the group. Those phrases severely undermine religious harmony and ethnic unity,” said Xiong Kunxin, a professor at Beijing’s Minzu University of China in Beijing. To achieve national unity and social stability, ethnic minorities including Hui and Uyghur people enjoy favorable policies including receiving extra points in China’s college entrance examinations, more lenient family planning policies and securing a certain ratio of positions in government.
The same Zenz believes now that he is on a god given mission against China, as quoted in the Wall Street Journal. This is in line with his promotion of the belief the world is at the “end of times”. The mainstream media would have undoubtedly crucified anyone with these kinds of views, which may be indisputably described as hatred, prejudice and bigotry. Yet instead, because he is a zealous anti-Communist voice, he is instead presented as an infallible “expert” who ought never to be questioned and his actual views are never given scrutiny or critique.
Bonus: Zenz hilariously claims that “Taking things out of context is a typical misinformation tactic.”
Thank you for sharing your sources. There is quite a lot to unpack, so it will be some time before I can read and assess them all thoroughly.
One thing that has stuck out to me like a sore thumb was the article concerning the report from the Egyptian media delegates visiting Xinjang. The the Egyptian government is a corrupt dictatorship that is brutally oppressive towards the Egyptian people, the most recent iteration having come to power by overthrowing its first democratically elected leader via coup de d’état. They are traitors to Muslims and are antithetical to the Palestinian cause, so anything that comes from that wretched goverment or its tightly controlled media should be given almost the same level of scrutinty as any coming from Israel. The same also applies for Syria.
In some of the articles mentioning the Ughyur terrorists/extremists, the Ughyur themselves are claiming to have been radicalized by religious repression. I wonder why they feel that way.
Many of your other sources do seem credible, and the claims against Human Rights Watch are both damning and explain some of the bullshitry that has been coming from them since October. The twitter posts you linked also seem credible in that they are combating some very egregious cases of misinformation–a staple of the online age.
These are just my thoughts so far, should I remember, I’ll get back to you later. Once again, thank you for sharing your sources.

This is basically a DoS attack on the reader. No evidence is provided in this tome of nonsense from an organisation renowned as being a revolving door for American intelligence assets.
