CUDA acceleration.
I have a physical CD of Ubuntu 6.10, back then they were distributing those over the mail and a friend of mine ordered some and gave me. I still keep it.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I have a list full of books now.

No one here has a crystal ball. If you invest in broad ETFs, the best time to start investing is now. Just do some DCA and hope that over time your investment will surpass the inflation.
Damn, just checked and mine got updated to 5.18.1 so I won’t be able to install this, right? I see some comment that one guy managed to go around by re-applying the hotfix
The name of the wind
I found a good T14 gen 1 with Ryzen CPU and 400 nits low-power display, but I read that the 4650U CPUs don’t support amd-pstate and only auto-cpufreq, meaning that it will affect negatively the battery life. The T14 gen 2 are unfortunately with the 300 nits display, which is quite mediocre. How much worse the battery would be on the gen1?
I tend to lose adapters to be honest. And right now I am trying to get everything possible to support USB-C as it is super convenient and the chargers are also really small.
Yes, that’s why I want to have a USB-C charging. I have a 60W GAN charger.
For personal use, I will use it just when traveling, as I have a more powerful desktop. Nothing too fancy, a bit of programming, tinkering. Will run probably Hyprland. What’s important is to have 5-6 hours of battery life. I will probably run some containers, YouTube watching, browsing, should be portable and support charging over USB-C.

I am really looking forward to having a viable alternative to NVIDIA. I would love buying Intel or AMD and being able to enable CUDA support on the GPU out of the box.

So posting news from Iran state owned media is not propaganda in your eyes? How would you feel if someone here posts news from an Israeli state owned media source? It is obvious that both sides have a beef in this war and their news coverage of it won’t be impartial.
I am all about accurate and impartial news coverage. And a lot of serious media outlets have been very critical to the state of Israel and I would rather see news from those covering the conflict.

And instead is owned by Iran. Come on, give me a break. And starting that BBC, AP and Reuters are owned by Israel is bold of you.
And don’t tell me that your website doesn’t spread propaganda, because they most certainly do. Just propaganda that’s closer to your liking.

Am I the only one who is bothered by the source of this article? For the record that is an Iranian state controlled website. And considering they have a beef in this fight they will be opinionated. Can we try to stick to more trustworthy sources? Like APNews, Reuters, BBC, etc.

Last week I played a bit with Rainmeter and find the idea pretty cool. It is similar to conky but less nerdy and more user friendly. Pity we don’t have anything like that in Linux.
Can’t you just use Obsidian and edit the MD files directly in your terminal? I know Obsidian isn’t open source, but as long as the files are MD and I can easily take them with me, I don’t really care.

War crimes for thee but not me
You are really underestimating the complexity of the task of building a web engine.
Another problem is that Chrome is already ubiquitous and most of the web sites are simply ignoring the Gecko and only optimise against Chromium.
Don’t get me wrong, I truly wish we had more completion and I hope those projects take off and with time become a viable alternative of Chromium but I am somehow doubtful.

Wars suck so much.
To be honest, I don’t want to be forced to kill other human beings because of some shitty politicians who decided so.
It makes me sick to the bone.
That’s a great question. I like the concept of more stable OS and I played a bit with NixOS in the past but ultimately decided that it is too much of a hassle to learn Nix to use it and decided to try Bluefin. I am actually overall content as I was able to install the missing packages either in Toolbox/Distrobox or using homebrew.
By the way I have actually found a way, and rebased my OS to another immutable flavor. I know that’s more of a workaround.
