If it’s not their own stuff, it’s rarely higher than 1080p anyway. Audio is always just regular lossy Dolby Digital. Not hard to beat that, tbh.
It’s a drawback of open source systems. Without the coffee protection in place, rightsholders are unwilling to let you have their best stuff.
