Whaaaaaaaaa!!!??? That is so helpful. Why does no one ever talk about this when working on userChrome!!!

Maybe yours did, but that’s not how it generally works.
Most people aren’t talking about investing with stocks. They’re talking about mutual funds and 401ks, which will grow if you just leave them be. If you try mucking around with them you’re going to be much worse off.
This might get me to try KDE lol. I’ve used this feature on my Mac for years just when I get bored in meetings and I’ve always wanted it to grow to that size.
How much is it gonna cost us to create this new “D.O.G.E.” Department and pay Musk? The cost of these studies is completely irrelevant to the situation, like others have said the GOP props up ridiculous situations and makes it seem like they represent the entire situation, and they do it to disguise what they’re doing which is fleecing taxpayers money to private corps.
Yeah how much is this “office” going to cost the taxpayers? I would guess a lot more than $100k on a sunfish experiment.
Pretty sure there was a study that actually showed big trucks correlated with big penises. Crazy.
LinusTechTips has an incredibly recent video on this exact topic. Of course they were immediately sued or whatever so you can only watch on reuploads. https://youtu.be/IsUen26Cufs?si=b94x1EsxjLRi0Bts
I wouldn’t support the company, but I also think certifications are mostly useless.
You might be too young. They’re referring to a service called StumbleUpon that did almost exactly what you posted here.
Probably a Scandinavian country if I had to guess.
Even in this actual thread, under the comment you replied to, someone stills thinks that Mozilla is placing ads.
Really weird that the article doesn’t mention that the campus is 4 times the size of both apple and Microsoft’s campuses combined. It just mentioned it being larger. But 4 times is crazy.
Can we please stop linking mastodon threads? Mozilla literally has an explainer article. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/privacy-preserving-attribution
This happens in every major mastodon thread. Someone claims something without even bothering to research it like the person below did. They make an incredibly big deal about it with tons of claims (which are almost all untrue) and then it gains traction and anyone who doesn’t bother to research now believes something completely untrue.
They’re probably talking about things like street signs: https://ktla.com/news/local-news/the-font-on-your-highway-sign-tells-the-story-of-a-decades-long-battle/
It’s happening on lemmy too. People making posts in multiple subs saying that FF is super buggy, etc.
Reynolds wrap literally has this as a faq on their website because so many people think it.
I came to suggest the same. This looks like either swap mem is completely disabled or that the extension OP is using can’t handle the function they’re trying to do.
I’ve never met anyone who acted like this, nor even seen someone on the internet complaining about it, besides reviews in movie sections. That’s not to say it doesn’t happen, it’s just I believe that you’re probably seeing a vanishingly small portion of society do this.
