How many windows do you usually have open in a workspace? Wouldn’t the usual Meta+Direction shortcuts be quick enough for 2-4 windows?

Audio from low priority processes is expected to stutter under high CPU load. I experience this a lot when playing music while compiling programs.
A disabled service will not consume any RAM. People just look for excuses to hate on it because it has AI in the name.
First it was that it would consume 4GB of RAM in the background. Then that it might reserve the memory just in case. Now the issue is that even if it didn’t, it would make the binary larger lol.
I sure hope you also complain about all the disabled drivers that ship with your Linux kernel.
Opt-in
??
Is that what it’s doing?
If you don’t like AI window, don’t use AI window. I don’t see the problem.
With that much voting power why even bother having a public company.

Yeah you’re right. Mastercard says tapping your card also sends a tokenized version or the card number.

Tapping your card shares the card number. Paying with your phone doesn’t.

Not sure if that’s even possible. Even a GoPro barely lasts about 2-3 hours while running no AI and having a bigger battery than whatever you can fit in glasses.

Desktop users (except for business) don’t make Microsoft any money, so they probably don’t care.

If that lawsuit is successful then I’ll be next in line suing security camera companies for disrupting my breaking and entering business.
Do you specifically need ffmpeg? If it’s just screen recording from the terminal, wl-screenrec has the best performance (meaning low CPU usage) for Wayland screen capture. It does require the new screen capture extensions so it will depend on your compositor.

This seems to be the latest one. https://simplex.chat/blog/20241014-simplex-network-v6-1-security-review-better-calls-user-experience.html

I sincerely hope your reply in the mailing list was satire .
Is there another example of this happening in Facebook aside for the openKylin post? I looked around and every article is only talking about this specific DistroWatch issue.
But I want to know what is AMD working on, specially if it has to do with the RT / HDR / color management areas.
HDR/Color Management is not really AMD’s job. That’s between the Wayland and Mesa guys (I guess you could say AMD belongs in the “Mesa guys” umbrella).
Also, I’m pretty sure AMD already supports ray tracing through Mesa, and is enabled by default since version 23.2 on the radv driver:
radv: Enable ray tracing pipelines by default

What does that even mean?
Unless you actively support Mozilla, they could not care less about your boycott.
