Yeah, in hindsight that’s completely fair

Musk really did post this.
Whether he used an AI generator or not, it’s possible. But honestly, I could easily see him paying for a photoshoot for this since he announced moving SpaceX to Texas.
The answer to our wealth disparity is to put power in the hands of the average person.
Average voter: “Ugh, all the power and responsibility is too much work. Can’t we just elect someone that takes care of all of this for us?” Congress/parliaments are born. “Ugh, keeping track of all these politicians and their policies and waiting for them to enact laws is too slow and tedious. Can’t we just elect some sort of super politician that promises to take care of all our problems quickly?”
Whoa, wtf? How did I miss that drama, haha holy shit. I definitely remember downloading it a few years ago and being aghast at its absurd size (think it was around 120GB? which nowadays that’s pretty par for the course because fuck optimization). But gutting half your content just to save space… have they not heard of compression? Like what the hell were they thinking haha
I’m not arguing that it’s a W. I’m saying that much of the reason we’re in this hyper polarized society now is due to echo chambers. If we refuse to engage with those we disagree with, then you’re falling into the exact same trap. The entire platform isn’t only Musk/MAGA supporters. It’s toxic and awful, but so is TikTok and Facebook yet millions still use them every day.
Unfortunately, without anyone of note calling him out on that platform, it turns into pure echo chamber cult activity. There are so, so many people that are like lemmings, that will just follow that flow without doing any personal reflection or critical thinking. It’s healthy to have voices of dissent, even if it’s indirectly helping/enabling someone that’s cultivating mindlessness among the masses. Hell, just look at how his idiotic response has over 2 million “likes”. Granted, I’m sure 70-80% of those are fake, but that’s still a frightening number of people who support someone like him.
It’s partly because of Top Gun and some other recent pop culture occurrence I can’t recall off the top of my head. But yeah, I know several people at work who recently started doing it as well, and one of them mentioned that as their inspiration. I’m guessing a few started bc of that and more followed suit, because why not or something.
Ahh, I was out of the loop on that meme, hah. Thanks for explaining!
…I’m confused unless this is just a fake joke image. Is there really a Microsoft page dedicated to .exe like this? A quick Google only returned non-MS results for me and I can’t be bothered to look beyond that.
Also, what is there to even download for this? Just a link to Visual Studio to compile your own executables…?
In college and workplace, all java projects I ever worked with used camelCase. Whether that’s the official stance of Java or not, I don’t recall.
Was annoyed they broke the second season up like they did, but it was pretty good. Can’t wait for season 3!
