Conventional tablets will definitely be cheaper to manufacture but not to the degree that they are sold at in retail markets the whole sales chain of gel capsules are deliberately marking up the product because if you have trouble swallowing conventional tablets you WILL pay the markup.

Problem is that Nintendo for all their faults still make GREAT games for kids. And if adult pc gamers think they have it bad they should have a look at the predatory shitshow that is tablet games for the 5 and under market… its properly fucking ridiculous. At least Nintendo has the common decency to give me an amazing and full game for its eyewatering prices.

As the parent of a small child I wish I could boycott Nintendo.

I mean, theres 3 categories for giving them a pass on their transgressions (as a fan, not legally or morally speaking) IMO.

1. The art/performance was just so far beyond good that you cant deny the cultural significance. E.g Michael Jackson, Elvis, Tupac.

2. You had a personal connection to the art before they did the shitty thing or before it came to light. (In my case: early Chris Brown, Kid Rock) They were big in my late teens and early 20s and I have positive memories associated with their songs. Not the percieved quality of the art.

3. They had their day in court, did their time and time has passed. E.g Mark Wahlberg, I dont know the guy, I dont know if he is a good person or not these days. But the last documented occasion of him being a huge violent racist asshole is 1992… 32 years ago.

Not a specific game, but Ive had this discussion before and been downvoted to shit for my stance. Ive bought plenty of not great games on extreme steam sale and I cant help but mentally review them on a dollars to enjoyment over time scale.

Was it a great game? Not really. Did I play it for 3 weekends? Yes. Did I get $10 of entertainment value out of it? Absolutely, it seems like I cant leave the house without spending $10. Thats significantly better value than how I feel about buying D4 at launch.

Hollywood is too formulaic, at least when you shake it up with foreign media you dont really know where its going to go.

If you take 1 million cars with an average useage time of 1 hour a day and reduce that by 10 minutes thats roughly the same as taking 1 in 6 cars off the road from an emisions standpoint.

Make it 500,000 cars and reduce it by only 5 minutes its roughly the same as 41,000 cars worth of emissions that werent pumped out of exhaust pipes.

No it doesnt solve everything. Yes a well designed public transport system would be a much bigger environmental benefit. But its something that could be done with current tech and without massive infrastructure overhauls with a real tangible benefit for the environment and society.
