We’ll be like 3 hrs into a road trip and my wife’ll be like “Do you think we turned the stove off?”

Chemist here: all the reds are correct but it would take so much time to explain why so many of the greens are super concerning. Every time I see this reposted it’s so concerning…I should just spend the 17 minutes and save a copy pasta response of everything horribly wrong with this.

As a plastics engineer, I would be more concerned with the heavy metals in Himalayan pink salt. Also, any microplastics wouldn’t be “absorbed”. If anything the salt would abraid the container through shaking which could scrape the walls and grind out some small particles over time. That being said, the plastics used for these types of applications are relatively virgin and frequently don’t contain any additives aside from possible colorants or glass fill or something line that.

When I started algebra in something like 5th grade I had a huge issue with f(x) and the best answer my teacher gave me was that “the equation is a function of x” and couldn’t explain it differently and I couldn’t get over the fact that we are not multiplying whatever f is by X. “If we’re going to set precedent with notation at least be fucking consistent” - 5th grade me probably

I’m a chemical engineer and I now better understand calculus slightly better from this post. I did a whole lot of “okkayyy …let’s just stick to the process and wait for this whole thing to blow over”

I know what they were asking me to do but I never really fully understood everything.
