Speaking with Anadolu Agency, the secretary-general of the Palestinian National Initiative Movement stated that the historic Oslo Accords are entirely dead and that Tel Aviv is actively utilizing settlers as a spearhead to enforce land annexation and mass displacement.

Barghouti highlighted the severe situation in Qusra south of Nablus, where Israeli forces and settlers maintained a lengthy siege on Palestinian homes following military operations that converted civilian residences into fortified positions.

He heavily criticized the transfer of administrative security powers within settlements from the military to police under National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, warning that western nations display hypocrisy by paying lip service to a two-state solution while failing to impose punitive measures against ongoing violations of international law.

Calling for an immediate overhaul of the Palestinian political strategy, Barghouti urged official leadership to abandon defunct agreements and forge a unified national strategy. He stressed that absolute domestic unity is vital to confront the mounting existential threat facing Palestinian communities across the occupied West Bank.
