The recent closure of the Israeli consulate in Chengdu is described in the mainstream media as simply a consequence of China’s positions on the Palestinian issue—particularly the ongoing genocide in Gaza—as well as on the Israeli-American aggression against Iran.
The Israeli consul issued an enthusiastic statement about friendship with China, as if the closure were merely temporary for renovations.
What the article is careful not to mention is the recent espionage case involving an Israeli company in Chengdu, which was thwarted at the last minute by Chinese authorities just as it was about to succeed.
Reported in Chinese media and on social media, this case was, of course, completely ignored by Western media.
In broad terms, in 2023, the Israeli embassy in China acted as an intermediary between a Tel Aviv-based data company and a technology firm in Chengdu, under the pretext of jointly building a “data processing center” intended to optimize urban traffic flow.
However, during the discussions, it became apparent that the company’s request for dedicated bandwidth far exceeded commercial needs, and that its encryption protocols closely resembled “SIGINT,” a proprietary system of the Mossad.
The MSS (Ministry of State Security) intervened, and a more thorough investigation revealed that the company’s capital was linked to a fund of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, and that its “engineers” exhibited characteristics consistent with the training of Mossad agents.
This so-called “European R&D data synchronization project” was in reality a plan to intercept critical communications traffic in southwestern China. When the Chengdu National Security Bureau and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology jointly conducted a thorough investigation, they discovered that this surveillance center, concealed within a commercial building, had already set up, in its isolated underground level, a room shielded against electromagnetic waves, as well as equipment providing access to a global “honeycomb” surveillance network.

Western media do not limit themselves to lies when shaping what they sell as news: exaggeration, omissions, and truncated information are often more effective at deceiving their audience.

SIGINT means Signals Intelligence, which is things like wiretapping
it isn’t an encryption protocol
