Be a shame if the US Navy lost access to the Mediterranean. The Ansar Allah have shown that the US Navy can be stopped at choke points, and the Strait of Gibraltar is only 15 kilometers wide at its narrowest. Technically, you cannot enter the Mediterranean without passing thru Spanish territorial waters.

At least I lived long enough to watch the death of NATO; not thru war, not thru Russian aggression, but thru an idjit in the Out House. The Tangerine Torquemada’s greatest achievement and he won’t even get credit for it.

Yeah it is. It’s such a narrow pass though that Spain doesn’t have to have control of the very tip to make the strait impassable.

Logistically speaking, how would that work? Isn’t the whole point of being in a single market to prevent this exact sort of economic singling out?

As a former global colonialist superpower itself, Spain knows better then most what the US and it’s mini-me are doing and exactly what their intentions are.
