“Once you’ve been to Gaza, you’ll never stop wanting to beat Benjamin Netanyahu to death with your bare hands.”
How would a false positive create more harm? Isn’t it better to cast a wide net and detect more possible cases? Then false negatives are the ones that worry me the most.
Isn’t it just so funny how Hezbollah attacks military targets but every time Israel bombs Lebanon it goes like “Grandmother and grandchild killed in two separate cars, Israel says it was a woopsie”?
The latest count on Al-Jazeera was 109 with over 800 wounded, and reports of 40 bodies bulldozed away that no one can reach. They did shoot at a crowd of thousands.
In high-school and university it always disappointed me that Palestinians didn’t have enough representation and a platform in global media. During this war on Gazans, I’ve seen every conceivable human rights organization involved criticize Israel and report on its crimes. I’ve seen the CNN write detailed investigate reports about the victims of the Israeli terror state. I’ve seen world leaders demand a ceasefire… and I thought to myself, "surely this time things are better! we are in the media, countries support us (sometimes as people, sometimes as governments, sometimes as both)… now we have all these amazing Palestinian voices speaking on television and in university lectures and media and film festivals… surely this time things will change."
But no, it turned out to worse than the Nakba. 🙂 Turns out lack of representation and media coverage wasn’t the only issue plaguing Palestinians.
So tell me, what is it that makes Palestinians so unimportant in the eyes of Biden? So unworthy of human rights?
Reminds me of that into to that song by DAM (YT, Piped, lyrics in English):
وين ما اروح باشوف حدود ساجنه الأنسانيه
ليه أطفال العالم حره وأنا ما الي حريه ؟
“Wherever I look, I see borders that jail humanity. Why are all the children of the world free but there is no freedom for me?”
Waiting for the average Zionism defender saying:
Disgusting! Israel constantly tries to demonize Palestinian men, but we know the truth. We know they are prying people out of rubble with their own hands, driving ambulances, risking their lives for others, and hugging their dead children as they bury them.
Another piece from the guardian
‘I’m so scared, please come’: Hind Rajab, six, found dead in Gaza 12 days after cry for help
She said: “We contacted the ministry of health and they coordinated our safe access with the Israeli authorities. We were given the green light to move the ambulance.”
But she said the ambulance came under fire soon after it arrived at the location. “First [the paramedics] said the Israeli forces are putting laser lights on them … And then we heard a gunfire sound before we lost the connection. It was like a gunfire or explosion, we were not sure of what happened.”
This army is so pathetic in my eyes now
Well isn’t that ‘great’ /s
Sorry for your loss.
You can use bio-degradable balloons but there is no guarantee they will not end up strangling birds or rendering squirrels immobile. Maybe something that could start degrading some hours after you release it? It might end up safely popped midair without ruining the lives of wildlife.
But let me just add: I think you should not do this at all. It’s too risky to do with traditional balloons, and it might be hard to find these “real/verified” biodegradable balloons, plus no guarantee they actually do what the backside says.
Sorry I can’t help you
Yeah, well, too bad that the Geneva Convention disagrees with killing people in hospitals that have protected status under IHL.
Why do you keep mentioning October 7th? We’re talking about something else and October 7th is not a license to break IHL.
And no, you are wrong, they are not a legitimate target when unarmed and being treated at a hospital.
They were unarmed and getting treatment at the hospital. That’s against international humanitarian law. Several people have linked to this in the thread. I suggest you read them.
Let me know if you find out, I’m still horrified at the amount of support they are getting.
From the title, you’d think these men were armed and inside the hospital terrorizing people. Turns out one of them was getting treatment there. The Israeli forces that killed those three (who were getting treatment or visiting someone getting treatment) were also dressed as civilians (nurses and doctors)
Truly the most pathetic and most cowardly army in the world.
Hamas claimed one of the dead in Ibn Sina hospital as its member. The allied faction Islamic Jihad claimed the other two, saying they were brothers. Ibn Sina said one of the brothers had been receiving treatment for an injury that paralysed his legs.
No trial, no evidence except that from the Israeli side, just a field execution. No threat from these men whatsoever… and one of them was had a mobility disability too.
Added to the top, thanks!
Deep in my heart, I just hope both Trump and Biden get heart attacks before the elections kick off. Voters would get a fresh choice then.
Biden isn’t sending drones to bomb Palestine, to my knowledge.
He bypassed Congress to send weapons to Israel. I think similar shit happened on several occasions, and it’s not nearing an end. What’s the difference? American tax money all the same.
I don’t think you will find anyone on this thread who supports Trump or thinks Trump will not be “worse”.
Why fluttering horror is chaotically flying into my way?
