People have been trained so thoroughly that they literally have a visceral, irrational response to the word veganism. It’s been made impossible to actually talk about in a coherent way with most people, and lemmy has a lot of redditor refugees who carry that kind of thing with them.

The detail in Kenshi is pretty amazing. I don’t normally get sucked into single player games, but the design really does give the impression of nearly unlimited freedom, every different starting scenario feels genuinely unique. The slave start particularly was a ton of fun.

It’s pretty amazing that it was designed by basically one guy. He was really efficient in how he chose what game elements to invest his limited development time into and clearly had a really strong vision. I hope he can get a few more devs onboard to develop a second one, I feel like even two or three other people would make so much more possible.

I dunno, I get this as much from old people too. I think it’s less an indicator of age and more an indication of people who aren’t great at thinking.

It’s the blood pumping through your arteries. I used to get this even in my teens after very long walks. You’re literally just feeling your own pulse as your heart works a bit harder to meet your body’s elevated demand for blood/oxygen.

I’m not sure why it seems to be more apparent after milder activity, but maybe something like walking doesn’t dialate your blood vessels so much so there’s a bit more pressure at certain points?

If you want to confirm its your blood vessels and not muscles, check your pulse as it’s happening and see if its the same rythmn.

As far as I know it’s normal, since I was in peak physical condition at that age (a lot of athletics, running etc.) but if it seems unusual for you personally I guess bring it up to a doctor.

I’d imagine it’s connected to both. Russia and China are the main antagonists to US hegemony, hoping they’ll get to be the next empire if they can drive enough of a wedge between western allies and get enough debt colonialism going in SA and Africa.

Well, good I suppose, though I feel like this could be sort of a desperate attempt to shore up geopolitical influence that’s being deflated by our relationship with Israel.

Post-WWII rules based order is kind of disintegrating and neoliberals are scrambling to prop it up without actually admitting to why it’s failing.

It kind of puts things into perspective when you realize that Ronald Reagan withheld munitions to strong arm the Israeli regime into stopping their bombing of Lebanon.
