I have two home servers. One running Debian 12 and the other Ubuntu Server. Both have been very reliable.

I’ve seen apps like the one you mention mad the developers say that the business model for them is to sell the data to big companies so they see what products are popular amongst people in certain places. Not sure if that’s true at all
