Didn’t use twitter or discord much at all. Switched to lemmy from reddit entirely no pain. Still use Youtube.
However my access and consumption to anything on twitter, a discord channel, or Youtube is probably through Lemmy to begin with.

Some of those people are just burner accounts for the purpose of sending a specific message.
For a public statement by a U.S. Senator it is about as critical of Israel anyone could expect. I would wager far moreso in fact.
A country having socialist policies would not be a primary reason. It would be whether this hypothetical country’s socialist policies translate to a better life for myself and my family.
That’s definitely a hard line in this thought experiment for me: the furthest I could possibly go back would be to the day my youngest was born.

Back when I did labor work I found I maxed out on efficient work at 6 hours. I couldn’t physically do more without increasing my injury risk or doing less quality work.
Then I started doing more office work and desk work. I found I typically would be able to commit 6 hours of honest work before I’d start losing focus and become prone to distractions.
Ah, well good for them then. I wonder if they had engaged in underground barefist boxing cage matches if they’d be under the same scrutiny.
But I would’ve only drawn the line if they were portraying or using the university in any way. Maybe the pearl clutching could extend to if they were making porn while employed by the University, but still.
