@MadhuGururajan@programming.dev
I added an edit with information about what Upscrolled is

Don’t forget about Loops

I think that CB is attempting to become a wrapper for all of them.
Ie you could use CB to pay using crypto, or Stripe, Apple/Google Pay, SAMSUNG Wallet, or etc

There’s also apparently Crowdbucks

I think an aggregated approach is more “Fediverse” like. But once again, who decides what does/ doesn’t get published?
What I was thinking was something similar to how Lemmy operates.
You just take the already existing websites / platforms, use some code to connect them to together, and let users create their own apps
Basically just take Lemmy, but replace the instances with News Websites
If a website gets too egregious, then the others could potentially vote to have their access revoked

Ok.
Alright.

It wouldn’t just be for servers, but also for content creators (ie Peertubers), etc.
It could be used for tips, subscriptions, etc.

Thx!

I’m surprised that they decided to host DM’s/etc. themselves, and not potentially integrate a protocol like Matrix.Org, XAMPP, etc.
Ik that Matrix allows user:
Clients
Bridges
Servers
Integrations
etc.

Wait, they don’t?
I’ve messaged mods b4, and they usually reply back.

While I do agree that Reddit has an issue with bots clogging up the comments, I personally believe that users should be allowed to make one for their community/communities.
I.e a character bot for book/film/etc. communities/instances, an encyclopedia bot, a bot that helps users find tv shows/movies/Internet Videos, Fanfiction, etc.
Just my opinion.
I’m NOT saying that ALL bots MUST be allowed, etc., but that it should depend on the instance/community, as well as judging on an individual basis.

What I was thinking was perhaps something similar to Lemmy, or Pixelfed, or etc., with instances hosted by different people?
Each instance could potentially host different user submitted gif types, i.e one instance would carry all sad gifs, another all happy, yet another all queer gifs, another all Harry Potter, etc., and users would be able to search through the entire platform using a united search, perhaps something similar to Peertube’s Sepia Search, that allows users to find the gif(s) that they are looking for.

I’m already aware (and active) on LemmyNSFW.
What I was imagining though, was a platform like Peertube or Lemmy, only JUST for NSFW.
Kinda like having Pornhub, but decentralized.
Sex Workers could have their videos/stories/etc. on there, and perhaps use either payment apps like:
PayPal,
Cash App,
etc.
to enact transactions.
Perhaps call it something like BlueTube (because Blue Balls), or something similar.

Ahh… Thx.

I just checked Evil Wafrn, and now I’m confused.
What is the difference between Wafrn, and “Evil Wafrn”?
is it just a different Wafrn instance?
Is it a completely different and separate Fediverse platform?
I attempted to log into “Evil Wafrn” using my regular Wafrn login and that failed.
Not really, at least not IMO.
It’s more like Instagram.
