Point taken, I like the idea of the plugin but was just looking at the permissions and surmising that it was the reason for the downvotes.
Can someone explain why all the downvotes? I’ve always been of the opinion that the more plugins you have, the more identifiable you are, so if that is the reason for the downvotes, I’d understand.
Edit: It seems the extension requires access to all websites, which allows it to monitor and modify data from any visited site
It’s complicated but F-Droid flags software that may have parts in it that are not entirely free, fennec is a fork of Firefox and within the source code F-Droid is finding that there is something that isn’t totally foss. I suggest using obtainium ( look for it in F-Droid) and find the GitHub version of fennec.
Just use F-droid and search for Fennec browser there. Or my preferred way is using Obtainium and manually searching for the version on GitHub, latest right now is 139.0.4
Amazing, got to check this out, thanks for the post. ≖‿≖
I’ve been trying for weeks. Sometimes, using a random IP address with Proton VPN works for a few hours, but eventually, Freetube (or YouTube) seems to catch on and shuts me down. Gravitywell mentioned a piped instance, which was great but only worked for a minute or two for me. I think the days of being anonymous on YouTube are over—time to move on if privacy is important to you.
Thanks for this, what a great app!
I love this app. I’ve been using it for at least a year now. It’s my number one app on my phone for music without ads, a Spotify replacement of sorts.
However, it does have moments where it cycles endlessly on a search result, possibly due to an issue with YouTube’s API. Sometimes, if I’m away from my phone, I find it stuck in a searching pattern. All-round, it’s an awesome replacement for Spotify.
Awesome reply and thanks for your time doing this. 👍🏼
What a coincidence, I was looking at the same thing today. I kept seeing recommendations for Affinity Photo, apparently it has a wide range of features for both Windows and macOS users. It’s got PSD file support, RAW support, masking, layering, retouching, blemish removal, curving, and a comprehensive set of 16-bit filters.
It’s around $50 I think but you own the license forever.
EDIT : I just noticed that this is the Open Source community so I just wanted to mention that Affinity is clearly not that.
Gotcha, disregard my comment then.
Just for context, Material you when relating to Google Maps refers to the user-generated content that is contributed to the platform. This can include things like photos, reviews, and ratings of places such as businesses, restaurants, and other points of interest.

Good to know, I’ll check it out.
Hello, I would like to suggest, as others have, that four times per year would be a good compromise. I attempted to access the poll link, but as a privacy advocate—likely a common trait among those discussing open source—I was unable to vote because of my VPN. Also, I just wanted to share my thoughts and express my appreciation for your efforts in taking on this project.
But how am I to be nominated for The Nobel Peace Prize?
