Twas a joke
It’s called “cheese cake” not “cheese pie” so I don’t think so
From the article for anyone who cares, NASA uses 15 digits (3.141592653589793
) because at Voyagers current distance from earth (~48 billion kilometers) that would give you an accuracy of less than half an inch.
No. America has its issues of course, but Curiosity and in a wider sense NASA is an entirely good thing that America does.
Just because we have work to do in other areas doesn’t mean we can’t be proud of the good we are doing.
Yeah but they’re mostly “sane” conspiracy folks. I miss the absolute bat shit insane ramblings from reddit haha
Like I said, I miss r/Conservative and r/conspiracy the most from reddit
the force awakens
My only issue with TFA isn’t the movie itself. It’s just that it sets up so much good stuff that the rest of the trilogy just doesn’t do fuck all with. There are some really cool story points, some incredible characters, and amazing acting. Then just garbage through the next two.
Rouge One
Yeah this is easily the best star wars movies IMO. It’s hectic, and all over the place, and there’s a ton of characters, then it just all clicks together in the last little bit of the movie. No spoilers or anything but you absolutely need to watch this. I genuinely can’t over recommend this enough, it’s a golden movie. Then go watch Andor, its easily the best Star wars TV and there are a couple scenes id nominate for top 10 TV scenes of all time. It’s the prequel to Rouge One and goes over Cassian Andor (main character in Rouge One) story.
Solo
I actually really enjoyed Solo. Its not super relevant to the greater star wars saga, and its not the most ground breaking piece of cinema ever. But its fun and enjoyable, just go into it with the idea that its “filler content” for the rest of them.
TL:DR I mostly agree with you
Do you live in an “as seen on tv” commerical?
Okay so I originally assumed this was probably due to some union rule or something like that. But I didn’t find any reference to it in the NALC guidelines, anything in the USPS resources center (which is hard to use), anything in google searches, and the original employee documentation or spec.
I did find the USPS History section and it turns out they have someone whose job title is “Postal Historian”, Stephen Kochersperger.
But, anyways, I found the address (not email of course haha) for the USPS history office so I have wrote up an letter and put it in the mailbox. I will eventually update yall
National Forests and National Parks are different things and are managed by different departments.
National Parks (like Yellowstone) are managed by the National Parks Service and we’re put aside for conservation and public access. They are protected in perpetuity. As much of a shit head Trump is and as terrible as the Republicans are, I don’t think they could actually open these up.
Meanwhile, National Forests are managed by the Department of Agriculture. They were specifically put aside to be public land and to protect the US lumber industry. The rules have been slowly opened up to allow private purchase (for individuals and ranches) and different types of resource gathering (mostly fishing and ore mining, with some oil mining).
I think a lot of people in this thread are mixing up the two as well. National Forests are specifically used for resource gathering and more resource gathering isn’t out of the ordinary for these parks.
Bah I messed it up again! I have no excuse now 🤦♂️
Ah you’re right. I misread your comment. I thought you were calling gas a liquid haha
Edit: I am very dumb and don’t proof read my comments
Gas can behave like a fluid. Or rather, the two can behave similarly, but they aren’t the same thing.
First, you should probably lessen with the therapy speak. This is a personal thing but the commodification of therapy is actually a huge problem that we should talk about. But I digress.
Second, maybe clarify this up a little bit? Are these people your roommates? Your upstairs neighbor? Downstairs? Next door? I genuinely don’t know who you’re talking about.
But (I’m assuming these are your up or downstairs neighbors?) I had a buddy who was in a similar situation where even the microwave beeping would cause the upstairs neighbor to thump on the floor. He just had to complain to the apartment complex a bunch (basically every time it happened, as it happened) and eventually they got it sorted. The upstairs neighbor stopped being annoying and moved out shortly after.
In an apartment you will hear your neighbors and it’s unrealistic to expect them to be perfectly silent all the time.
I went to one in Chicago and had some of the best wings I’ve ever had in my life, still to this day.
Went to another one in my home town a few years later, and had terrible, obviously frozen wings.
Never went back again. Not sure if that answers your question.
I believe all of them?
Lenovo sells their thinkpads with Linux too. And they’re absolute tanks.
This is the big reason I have such strong feelings about pushing kids into a competitive space. Whether that’s sports, chess, marching band, etc. Just as long as there is structured practice and then competition against another person or team.
Because sports really will teach kids that no matter how hard you practice, sometimes you just won’t win. And that’s okay. The important thing isn’t winning every time, it’s getting back up and pushing even harder when you lose to win next time.
Its a critically important thing for people to learn, and I can’t think of a better and safer place than youth sports.
Child Sex Abuse Material.
Basically (and usually) child pronography.
My two biggest issues have been HDR and simulation hardware.
It’s been a good few years since I’ve tried it but every time I’ve tried HDR my saturation just gets cranked to 11 and it looks like those nature photos that are edited to hell and back. Not sure why, and I’ve heard other people got it working so idk. I think it’s just the Nvidia drivers doing their thing and not working.
But controllers for flight and racing Sims are the biggest headache to get working. And then when you do get them working you’ll have issues with games running well and detecting them (I think this is actually due to proton/lutris), issues with force feedback, issues with the various buttons and sliders that aren’t the primary axis. And then, after you spend hours getting them to work, it’ll just break again the next time you want to play. My sims and FPS games are the only reasons I still have a windows install.
