They’re asking for 3 days per week but not the full 5. This is pretty in line with the “new normal” compromises that most businesses are asking of knowledge workers these days.
In my opinion/experience, in-person group collaboration can be very helpful, so I can see the argument for it. But, I think it should flexible and not be required by an arbirary number of in-person days. Maybe 1 regular day per week at minimum. Maybe.
I’m in office 3 days a week and honestly most of the time it’s a waste of my commute time because my teams are remote anyway. My work does provide incentives to come in on occasion (periodic lunches for example) which is nice if I can/want to make it.

Weird that they didn’t even mention desktop Linux, which has grown ever so slightly as Windows and macOS have fallen.
