I haven’t noticed since I started exclusively using plex for all of my media except YouTube. Highly recommend.
Can’t load that image, I get this error:
{"error":"unknown","message":"Request error: error sending request for url (http://pictrs:8080/image/original/829ac091-176e-4c14-b8d1-5a367023ad08.jpeg): operation timed out"}
Doesn’t happen with any other instance.
You have Monday and Tuesday as your regular days off. I’m enjoying my honorary Friday night haha.
Who was waiting for it?
I was :)
I think a haiku bot is funny, especially in the right circumstances. It was one of the only bots I enjoyed seeing around reddit.
Why can I almost never load any images from science_memes? I can load every other community and instance. This happens on all platforms for me, even on different local networks a whole state away.
Edit: Example:
{"error":"unknown","message":"Request error: error sending request for url (http://pictrs:8080/image/original/f0df2dda-387d-42e9-b0d3-eae6db20e11c.jpeg): operation timed out"}
This is likely not the best place to get answers for this question.
I’m not saying create an echo chamber, my advice excludes engaging with people who agree and disagree, at least when it comes to large scale politics. If someone wants to get involved in politics, I think they should avoid echo chambers and engage in good discussion. But for people who just want to or need to get away from it, disengaging entirely I think is the way to go. You can still get involved in local polics without engaging in larger politics. They often have direct impacts on your community and it varies wildly between different communities.
I recommend not watching or reading the news. Spend your free time learning about hobbies or finding new ones, getting involved in local politics instead of national/global politics, improving yourself, and finding friends in communities around your hobby.
If you want some PC gaming friends that don’t talk about politics all the time, DM me. We’re in our late 20’s through 40’s.
I use kagi, it’s very good.

This is non-news, like all tech companies, they are bound by law to do this. It happens more than 6000 times per year for Proton. However, this user just had bad opsec. Proton emails are all encrypted and cannot be read unless law enforcement gets your password, which Proton does not have access to. Even if Proton hands over all data.
Didn’t work with the kernel level anti cheat. Not enough hell was raised.
I haven’t shaved since 2014.
Check out this video that discusses the difficulties in balancing difficulty (ha) for games with configurable levels of difficulty.
I thought the joke here was that even when they’re not locked your average inkjet printer is a hot pile of garbage machinery that works only when the planets align and you’ve sacrificed 3 goats and a your firstborn.
Meanwhile laster jet printers work most of the time except when they don’t.
Edit: one time I wanted to buy more ink for my inkjet and there was a brand new inkjet printer that came with ink that was less expensive than a new cartridge. (Of the same size)
The new printer was $30 and worked just as poorly as my $150 inkjet.
I’ve done printer maintenance for years among other things and inkjets are literally designed and manufactured in the deepest layer of hell.
To add to that, a lot of it was emulating and poking fun at stock market trading, in this case the meme formats being a stock, and creating memes being “investing”. For example, you could have a stereotype of some crazed investor yelling “BUY BUY BUY” as a meme format was becoming popular. It was silly fun and let people discuss meme trends in a novel way.
I miss /r/MemeEconomy. Stupid but funny premise when it showed up every once in a while on /r/all
