An analyst praises the technological and military advancement of Venezuela’s armed forces, with the support of its partners in Asia, such as China, Russia, and Iran.
“The technological and military advancements provided by China, Russia, and Iran, and the capacity for learning and incorporating knowledge of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), have been truly surprising, and this is demonstrated by the fact that today it does not depend on the defense of any foreign power,” highlighted political analyst Óscar Rotundo in an interview given this Monday to HispanTV.
He also highlighted that Venezuelan military power has generated regional capabilities, giving it the possibility of having not only an air defense, but also an expansive defense at the territorial level.
Elsewhere in the interview, Rotundo indicated that Venezuela, since its establishment as the Bolivarian Republic, has faced external challenges, including persecution, harassment, and blockades.
Over the years —the interviewee added— there have been multiple attempts to destabilize Venezuela through various means, including the actions of paramilitary groups, foreign mercenaries, invasion plans and acts of sabotage.
Since September, the US has carried out dozens of offensives in the Caribbean Sea and the eastern Pacific, resulting in numerous casualties, as part of its so-called war on drugs. Furthermore, Washington unilaterally ordered “a total and complete blockade of all sanctioned oil tankers entering and leaving Venezuela.”
Venezuela denounces that these actions by the U.S. have the true objective of imposing a change of government that will allow it to seize the strategic resources of the Bolivarian country, such as oil, gas and gold.
