You know, if they share electrons their bonds would be stronger. They may even get a diamond or if the relationship.
A solid bond can survive electron theft, as long as the victim stays positive.
There’s really no such thing as a purely ionic bond. Even Cesium and Fluorine form bonds that have a non-zero amount of covalent character to them. Just like there’s no such thing as a naked proton in the liquid or solid phases.
I sent this to my scientist as meme sharing love language and he’s gone on an enormous rant about his wrong it is. That’s the last time I try and share anything ionic. (Although apparently sharing ions is fine etc etc blah blahrant)
