I read the post before the title and was prepared to come at you. QGIS doesn’t get enough love for how good it actually is.
I actuallt have very little criticism of Arcgis Pro these days. Arcmap sucked ass though, and their apps and arcgis online still does.
True, it does make nice print maps. I just resent that I have to run it on the shame box (VM) as it’s not ported to Linux.
