I think this might have to do with communication climates (I am so far from an expert in anything) and how a climate of disagreement with peers and prevalent media can affect how a message is received. In other words, if surrounded by stupid people with stupid ideas it’s easy to assume the next stupid idea has come from a stupid person.
Yeah if this instance is going to become a place to post disinformation, I’m out. I came here to escape reddit, not double down on its worst aspects.
It’s a place to deconstruct disinformation. Discussing why things are wrong can be more important than just facts.
